Massages in Australia (18+)

Frequently Asked Questions

What is this site?

massage-in-aus.com is a free mapping tool that lists massage shops based on real reviews posted at TNT. There are no ads, no shop promotion, and no money taken for highlighting one shop over another.

Do in minutes what would take hours or days if you were trawling through sub-reddits and other online silos.

The site delivers a wealth of information without requiring you to join a review forum or read a single review.

How does the map work?

The map shows massage shops within a 20 km radius of the suburb you enter. Each shop appears as a pin, and when shops are close together the map groups them into clusters. Click a cluster to zoom in, or simply zoom manually to explore further. Every pin links to a shop profile with detailed information. The suburb dropdown also shows the region, so you know exactly which suburb you are selecting.

Which shops are listed?

Only shops reviewed at TNT that include a description of extras are listed here. "Legit" massage-only shops are not included, and to be fair, they would not want to be. That already saves you time and money if what you are after is a good time, not just a massage.

What's in a shop profile?

Profiles contain known details such as the shop's address, phone number, website, and social media links. They also include metadata about facilities like shower availability, discreet entrances or exits, air conditioning, nearby public transport, and easy parking - all the vital information that punters need to make informed decisions.

You will see a recommendation graph built directly from reviews posted at TNT. It is broken into four columns:

These graphs are available exclusively here and at TNT. No other massage mapping or review site provides this visual breakdown.

Some profiles also include a detailed yet concise summary of punter reviews for that shop. Summaries are continually being added and refreshed from time to time. Use the filter to find the shops with summaries.

At the bottom of each profile you will find a list of other shops within 5 km, so you can check out backup options if your first choice is not available.

How should I read the recommendation graphs?

The graphs show how punters responded to the question of whether they would recommend who they saw to others, and whether they are willing to return to the same shop. Don’t expect to see huge numbers in the “Yes” column - it’s very rare for any shop to score much over 50%. That doesn’t mean the shop is bad; punters are cautious about giving absolute endorsements. What really matters is the balance across all columns. A relatively high “No” column is the strongest warning sign, as it reflects sustained disinterest from punters in ever going back. It’s normal to see a healthy mix of “Return for others” and “Maybe” responses - that just reflects different tastes and YMMV experiences.

How do the filters work?

This site offers a powerful set of filters you can use in any combination. There are two categories:

Multiple filters can be applied at the same time. Filters work by excluding shops that do not match, so your shortlist is faster and more relevant.

TNT members also have access to an extended version of this tool with even more filters. Looking for that bbbj? TNT members have that as a filter and can click straight through to the relevant reviews. They also have access to the other Australian states and territories. Bare Naked Truth: TNT members get the best parts of the cow in return for providing the information that powers this site, but there is plenty to go around.

Where does the data come from?

The site is powered by the renowned TNT Library, which contains years of detailed review metadata. This is not the reviews themselves - you have to join TNT to read those - but structured information and summaries derived from them. The metadata that powers the shop filters is continuously updated as reviewers share more details. The service-related metadata is no older than 18 months.

Please remember: YMMV always applies. You are entering into an agreement with a service provider who has full discretion over what they offer. Nothing here guarantees or entitles you to any particular service.

Why aren't there staff rosters for the shops?

Other sites may display rosters, but they quickly fall out of date. The focus here is on reliable information that helps punters narrow down choices effectively. Think of it as an 80/20 approach: you get the most useful insights without being bogged down in fragile details.

If shop owners form an appreciation for what we are doing here and want to submit and maintain rosters, this may be supported. This site was not built to take their money, it was built to help punters.

What do the trophy icons mean?

Some shops have a trophy mark next to their name. This is an automated tip of the hat to venues that have consistently been well reviewed. It cannot be gamed by a handful of fake reviews. It takes sustained positive feedback to earn it.

Do some shops get promoted over others?

No. Space is not sold and payment is not accepted to promote any shop. Shops do not appear more often. However, when no filters are applied, lists may default to showing regions that have historically polled well. This is simply to give punters inspiration on where to start searching. The real work is done by entering the suburb you are in, or plan to be in, and seeing what is available nearby.

What if some information is missing or incorrect?

A suggestion system exists for the amenities listed for each shop. This allows you to submit information that we don\t already have. Shop owners have a strong incentive to help highlight their assets and keep their venues visible when punters apply filters such as showers or rear access.

Are there ads or hidden sponsorships?

No. There are no ads on this site, no space sold to shops, and no conflict of interest. Popular shops that consistently provide good service are reflected naturally in review-based signals. Nothing here is pay-to-play.

What information is collected from visitors?

Please refer to our Privacy Policy for details. At present there are no user accounts, and the only data collected is the same basic technical information that any website server records. If features like favourites, setting the default location for you, or ability to post shop rosters are introduced in the future, they would require user accounts.
